Death Row All-Stars

10 February

A baseball team founded in 1911 played for their lives. The team was made of death row inmates from Wyoming State Prison. As long as they kept winning, they cheated death. Over their 45-game run, an estimated $ 132,000 was wagered on the team. The Death Row All-Stars played against other amateur teams with less to lose. After their last game, which they lost,11 team members were executed. Only one escaped, George Saban, and he was never recaptured.
