Questions in US over no-knock warrants

10 July

Video footage of police raiding an apartment in Arkansas raises questions over the validity of ‘no-knock’ warrants. The raid was justified because an informant claimed to have bought drugs in the flat. The owner had security cameras installed, which clearly showed that it never happened but the police went ahead with the raid anyway! The tenant was arrested but later released without charge. He has since been evicted and has filed a lawsuit against the police.
