Remembering Russia’s First Covid Victims

This film honours one of the first coronavirus victims in Russia. Prominent physicist Mishik Kazaryan and his wife, epidemiologist, Arpik Asratyan, lived together for 45 years and died 10 days apart in Kommunarka, Moscow’s main Covid hospital. Documentary filmmaker and producer Aleksandr Radov died of Covid complications after turning for help too late. A 36-year-old physicist Danila Tlisov died upon his return to Moscow from work at CERN in Switzerland. They all died in the beginning of the massive outbreak in Moscow, when doctors couldn’t diagnose the virus at its early stages. Families remember their loved ones, talk about how some of them didn’t believe that Covid even existed and how quick the virus took their relatives.
