It’s time for the staff to get dressed up for dinner to commemorate the 10th anniversary of Hospice #3. Senior doctors and nurses are awarded commendations by the local health authority for their caring work. Cancer patient, Leonid Lebedev sees the irony in him being in Hospice #3. He worked on its construction ten years before and never imagined he would become one of its patients. He regrets his drinking and smoking habits and wonders what will become of his family.
