Soon our 20th-century highways won’t be able to sustain the demand for modern mobility. It’s expected alternative means of transportation, without the current reliance on fossil fuels, will reign supreme. Hoverbikes and jetpacks may fit in comfortably within the current paradigm. However, it will be challenging for today’s cities to rebuild infrastructure for magnetically levitating trains and hyperloops travelling supersonically.
