The Cabin Boy Diaries. James Brown spends a week on a Russian fishing trawler

Even on the verge of his own wedding, James Brown can’t help embarking on another exciting adventure. This time, he goes on board the Aquamarine–a Russian fishing trawler–and travels to the shores of the Spitsbergen Archipelago in the Barents Sea to catch some cod. During his 21-day shift, he learns to catch, sort and package the fish, and to do all the chores expected of a sailor. He also speaks to professional fishermen about how they balance their work at sea and their family lives. His main goal, however, is to make sure he returns home in time for his wedding. To do that, he has to work hard. That hold won’t fill itself with fish! Watch the film in Russian.
