Pachyderms Pack in the Crowd – A Clown’s Life Ep. 20
There’s a new show at the Nikulin Circus featuring elephants trained by Andrey Dementiev-Kornilov, a long-time friend of veteran clown Vladimir Deryabkin. The arrival of the Kornilov Show at the heralded Tsvetnoy Boulevard venue turns chaotic, however, when a swarm of journalists startle the elephants. The panicking pachyderms slip and slide as they charge across the icy parking lot into the building, frightening both their trainers and the crowd. While the Kornilovs are rehearsing their act, the Deryabkins visit them and introduce their new baby bear to the show’s baby elephant, Margo, who is hands down the brightest of the bunch. After Andrey and his mother, as well as the elephants, get made up for their performance, their spectacular act is met by rapturous applause, despite opening night glitches and jitters.
