Deprived of a Childhood
Memories of young Nazi death camp survivors
Surviving the hardships of World War II was a great trial for everyone, but children had the toughest time. Every sixth prisoner in Nazi concentration camps was a child, and only one out of ten made it out alive. The RTD film focuses on three former child prisoners recounting their harrowing experiences and reliving their terrifying odysseys 75 years after the end of WWII. Well into their 80’s now, Kristina was 13 when the war started; Klavdia was 9, and Nikolai only 7. The atrocities they witnessed still are etched into their memories.
