Khaled Alkhateb worked in Syria for RT's Arabic service as a freelance journalist. He was killed by an Islamic State rocket attack while reporting from the frontline in Homs province. Khaled was just 25 years old.

This film remembers Khaled, the first RT staffer to die in the course of his work. Film crew members and other witnesses to the attack recall the horrific and fatal events of July 30, 2017. Khaled’s family and colleagues speak of his passion for life and work, describing him as a “bright and committed journalist” as well as a much-loved son and brother.
