Anna Smirnova owns a modest children’s clothes shop on one of Moscow’s markets. She’s a “shuttle trader” – an entrepreneur who regularly travels abroad to import their own stock. Despite her courage, ambition and almost two decades of experience, in recent years her business model has come under threat. Hard times and spiraling rents have put her on the brink of losing everything.
In an attempt to take a break from their troubles, Anna and her husband Shota go on holiday to sunny Georgia, where they catch up with old friends. Anna finds it impossible to fully enjoy herself while the fate of her business hangs in the balance. However, she’s so impressed with Georgian culture and the thriving local businesses she encounters, that she decides a fresh start in Georgia might be the key to a happy and secure future.
During their visit the couple takes time to enjoy Georgia’s beautiful scenery and get acquainted with local entrepreneurs, who, it turns out, sell the same clothes as Anna used to import from Turkey.
