New York’s Covid-19 Divide
How Covid-19 exposes class divide in New York
The coronavirus pandemic has hit the US the hardest. New York City is taking the brunt, where COVID-19 seems to have become a social, as well as a health issue. Social and racial disparity in the level of illness and death has exposed the crisis of available healthcare for people in the city’s poorer neighbourhoods. A documentary by RTD’s Anastasia Trofimova is a collection of first-hand testimonies from New Yorkers. Some of them don’t have the luxury of staying home or even getting timely medical help.
