Summer Sails

Racing with the crew of the world’s fastest tall ship ‘Mir’

Russia’s STS Mir is one of the fastest sailing ships in the world, and has won the Tall Ships' Races five times since 1996. Trainees from around the world sail with Russian cadets from the Makarov State Maritime Academy in St. Petersburg to gain new skills, and make new friends at sea. RTDoc travels aboard Mir during the Tall Ships’ Races 2012 as she charts a course from Lisbon, Portugual, to defeat her Polish sister ship, Dar Młodzieży. Who will reach the finish line first in Cadiz, Spain?
