The Last Dawn of the El Molo

The El Molo is Kenya’s smallest tribe which lives in the north of the country, on the shores of Lake Turkana. Legend has it that the El Molo has a population that never rises above 100 people. However, nowadays, the young increasingly leave the tribe, to move to cities or to marry members of bigger tribes. Even the El Molo’s language and dialect has disappeared, together with their unique legends. But those who remain in the village, continue to live their lives in the simple way the generations of their ancestors did before them.
