Trans athletes in women’s sport speak out
Transgender women participating in female competitions are creating a backlash in the sports community. Canadian cyclist, Rachel McKinnon, turned into an icon of ’trans sport’ after becoming the first transgender woman to win a world title. Now at least three trans women are poised to participate in the Tokyo Olympic Games in 2021. In the meantime, some of their rivals oppose their inclusion, claiming trans athletes might have physiological advantages. Athletes on both sides of the fence speak out in our new documentary.
