How the US overlooked the COVID outbreak

Despite having spent “billions of dollars” on preparing to an event like the 2020 pandemic and technology that would allow the US to detect an outbreak on an early stage, the country still wasn’t ready, says Stephen Johnston, director for the Center for Innovations in Medicine (CIM) at The Biodesign Institute at Arizona State University. Correspondent Aleksey Brazhnikov asked him why Covid-19 caught the US off guard and why he thinks Anthony Fauci is responsible.
