The beauty and danger of the desert come to life in RTD’s Sahara documentaries

After years of conflict, vast areas of Western Sahara are littered with mines and unexploded ordinance and the task of clearing has been taken up by a group of women. The film Western Sahara: Determined follows the women as they do the dangerous job of ridding the land of its deadly crop. The annual camel races in Tunisia attract riders from all over the Middle East. We join them in at the Bedouin Desert Festival in the documentary Sahara: A Desert Winter.
