Nearly 4,000 people died of Ebola when the virus swept through Sierra Leone in the 2014-2016 epidemic. Many survivors feel anything but blessed as bitter social stigma hampers former patients in their struggle to rebuild lives. Some stand up against public ignorance while others choose solitary lives.
