Life revolves around fireworks in Tultepec, a town known as Mexico’s ‘pyrotechnics capital.’ Most locals earn their living by manufacturing and selling handcrafted fireworks, a tradition that goes back generations. However, the industry is highly dangerous and unpredictable, and Tultepec is no stranger to explosive disasters. RTD goes to Mexico to meet firework artisans and witness Tultepec’s famed pyrotechnic festival.
