Torched bulls: A Spanish tradition causes controversy in the animal rights community

14 November

A 400-year-old Spanish festival tradition has stakes nailed to the horns of a bull, and then set on fire. After that, the animal runs across the square in agony. Animal rights activists claim more than three thousand bulls are set on fire every year. Police try to prevent clashes between campaigners and supporters of the tradition.
