Coming to terms with Russia’s deadliest terrorist outrage in RTD’s Beslan documentaries
Modern Russian history is overshadowed by domestic terrorism. For two decades the country has suffered at the hands of indiscriminate terrorists. The Beslan school siege, in which hundreds of children were held hostage, is probably the most heinous. Scores of children and adults died in the rescue attempt, as a Chechen terrorist gang reaped carnage through the buildings in a vain effort to escape justice. The story of the siege and how the town has come to terms with the tragedy is told in RTD’s Beslan documentaries.
