3 powerful documentaries about being gay that expose hidden realities

RTD’s gay documentaries allow gay people to tell their stories about the challenges they face in very different legal and social contexts while hearing from those who challenge equal rights for gay couples. These include an American man who transitioned to female while remaining married and a former Methodist minister with gay children who wants churches to welcome gay couples, a move resisted by other church leaders. While in Afghanistan, the social context explains why some men traditionally seek out sexual partners among young boys.

Some gay couples would like their relationships to be blessed by churches, but the issue remains controversial in the United States.
