Where Prussia meets Russia in RTD’s Kaliningrad documentaries
The exclave of Kaliningrad is a modern Russian island in the heart of old Europe. The region around the city of Kaliningrad is steeped in history, with castles and fortresses going back to the Middle Ages. It’s the birthplace of the philosopher Emmanuel Kant and is famous for the amber found on the shores of the Baltic Sea. Nowadays it’s a vibrant modern city, with all the attractions you would expect, and attracted thousands of additional visitors as it was a host for World Cup football games in 2018.
