A 78-year-old Russian woman became world-famous for her love of skates

Lyubov Nikolayevna Morekhodova has lived all her life near Lake Baikal. She was born in 1941 and became famous all over the world after her friend filmed her life on video. Every winter, when Baikal freezes over, she skates on the icy lake looking for her livestock. This is her favourite pastime – using the skates her father made for Lyubov when she was 3-years-old. Her son begs her to move to a big city near Lake Baikal, but she refuses because she does not want to leave her old home.
