Bernie predicted outcome of the Iraq War in 2002

Senator Bernie Sanders, a prominent American politician and social democrat, was one of those who opposed the 2003 US invasion of Iraq. Senator Sanders criticised the government saying the war would put Americans and Iraqi civilians at risk. He highlighted the irreparable economic problems that could follow the war, which could add to poverty and negatively affect the US population.
