Maid for Punishment

Harrowing pictures of a young maid tied to a tree have highlighted the alleged abuse of domestic staff by their Saudi employers. The Filipino mother-of-two was strapped to the tree, allegedly as punishment for leaving expensive furniture out in the hot sun. She’s not the only domestic servant who has alleged abuse at the hands of their Saudi Arabian employers. One Kenyan woman claims she was almost a slave as she was kept away from other people.
