The founder of WikiLeaks, Julian Assange, is in the custody of British police after being ejected from the Ecuadorian Embassy. Assange had taken refuge their after skipping bail over sexual assault charges levelled in Sweden. Those charges have been dropped. However, the US plans to extradite him in connection with publication of leaked documents linked to the murder of civilians by American troops in Iraq.
