Surgeon who draws the reality of the COVID frontline
Ruslan Mellin is an oral surgeon who joined the infectious diseases unit at the Perinatal Clinic in Central Russia. He secretly drew doctors and patients in the COVID frontline. His works show the everyday life of his colleagues and patients through the lenses of protective glasses. As Ruslan says, drawing helps him escape from the hard and stressful work in the ‘red zone’.
