The Arkhangelsk Region is Russia’s gateway to the Arctic. It’s from here explorers travel to the North Pole to chart Russia’s Arctic shelf, and the resources hidden beneath the waves. RTD joined one of the biggest polar expeditions in years as it navigated above the Arctic Circle.
