Autocracy and subjugation investigated in RTD’s dictatorship documentaries

The idea of corruption that leads to absolute power is one of the themes examined in RTD’s dictatorship documentaries. Modern-day dictatorships such as North Korea are put under the spotlight in films looking at the reality of living in a totalitarian regime. Half a world away the people of Argentina are still coming to terms with the years spent ruled by a military dictatorship. During that time, thousands went missing and their children disappeared into the system, given new identities and only now being rediscovered by grieving relatives.
