Lugansk’s Forgotten Children
Helping disabled children left behind in the conflict
Visiting homes and rehabilitation centres for children with neuropsychiatric disorders in the Lugansk region is not for the faint of heart. These facilities are behind the times in terms of medical advancements and basic requirements. However, doctors and nurses have been taking care of hundreds of children with severe disorders despite being cut off from funding during the Donbass war. Now there's hope as doctors from Moscow’s ‘Road of Life’ foundation have come to help their Lugansk counterparts.
