Eaten art: how a Georgian artist ate a famous piece of art

2 December

Maurizio Cattelan’s work “Comedian” blew the public with its simplicity. It was a banana taped to a wall, and it was bought for $120,000. Then came along Georgian artist David Datuna who tore the banana from the scotch tape, peeled it, and ate it. According to Datuna, it was a performance filled with respect for Cattelan. For the work of art he ate, Datuna was not fined.
