Frozen Wolf

Locals found the head of an ice-age wolf that had been frozen in permafrost for 40,000 years. The remains have been examined by scientists from Russia, Japan, Sweden and America. They studied the shape and compared the brain to that of a modern wolf. The unique discovery with well-preserved tissue will help researchers understand how the species evolved.
