Sasha and her father, Ivan share their one-bedroom flat in Volgograd with a pet! Nothing unusual about that you might think, until you realise that this pet is a wolf, which has taken over their lives! The beast has the run of their apartment, and gets first dibs on all the food. Sasha and Ivan are in debt and often go hungry so that Sery-the-wolf can eat. Ivan has had Sery since he was a cub and now wants to find a place in the country where his wolf can roam and be safe. Despite a new law banning wild animals as pets, Sasha and Ivan won’t give Sery up.
