Franky Zapata, flying on a jet-powered flyboard

Franky Zapata established a new first when he flew across the English Channel on his jet-powered flyboard on 4 August 2019. The French inventor designed the device himself, and then hovered about 15 metres above the sea with a fuel tank strapped to his back, escorted by French army helicopters.
