Nineteen weeks into her pregnancy Keri Young discovered her baby had a rare disorder that meant it would not live beyond birth. After much soul-searching, Keri and husband Royce decided to continue the pregnancy so the baby’s organs could be used to save other infants’ lives. Unfortunately, in the eighth month, the baby’s heart stopped beating. The couple was heartbroken as only the corneas could be used to transplant.
