The Ugliness of Hating Strangers

Police are investigating an incident where a student from Mexico was abused by a group of Irish teens. The girls called the student an immigrant, saying he shouldn’t be in their country. The girls overheard him speaking Spanish to a friend on his phone and took exception. They hurled abuse at the young man, who kept his cool despite being taunted and having his headphones broken by the teens.
