When a traffic stop turns racial profiling
Footage of an interchange between a police officer and two black men in Des Moines, Iowa has raised concerns over racial profiling. The two young black men comply and ask appropriate questions of the police officer, who appears intent on finding something to detain them. Eventually, the two are arrested for having an open bottle of alcohol in the vehicle. It turns out the officer had booked more than 280 people the year before – all black.
