Marina Kosareva
Marina Kosareva’s career has spanned more than 8 years with RT, she has reported major domestic and international breaking news on many different topics, including business, politics and sport. She once traveled with Dmitry Medvedev and Vladimir Putin as a member of the presidential press pool, covering key meetings between global leaders. She has interviewed several political and business heavyweights such as Pakistan’s opposition leader and former international sportsman, Imran Khan, President of the Philippines , Rodrigo Duterte, Virgin founder Richard Branson, Coca Cola’s CEO Muhtar Kent as well as Russia's finance minister and deputy prime minister.
Her work has taken her to some of the world’s hotspots covering the Ukrainian crisis, anti-government protests in Greece as well as less dramatic but equally important events such as Scotland's independence referendum. Apart from reporting for and anchoring RT news, Marina also presented the first and only English language breakfast show in Russia to be broadcast to CIS countries. She also explored Moscow's cultural scene as a radio host.
Her most recent work as a documentary filmmaker has taken her to Pakistan to uncover the plight of the victims of America's aerial warfare campaign, in "Game of Drones". Marina also investigated the alleged oppression of Kurds in South East Turkey in "Erdoganistan" and the controversial methods being employed in the Philippines to combat drugs.
