Best Sailing Film: RTD recognized at International Maritime Film Festival

On Deck, Offline, by RTD director Natalya Kadyrova, has won in the Best Sailing Film category at ‘The Sea Calls!’ International Maritime and Adventure Film Festival. It’s the second consecutive year Natalya’s marine-themed documentary has been recognized at the festival.

On Deck, Offline follows young cadets on their first voyage on board the legendary barque Kruzenshtern. Inexperienced mariners spend two months away from home, learning the ropes in seafaring and discovering each other.

This year, the festival closing coincided with the 80th anniversary of the Sevmash Shipyard, Russia’s only nuclear submarine producer. It featured special screenings of the best documentaries and short videos, including Natasha’s newest film about sea, Going with the Floe.
