Disabled man hospitalised after a police check

A police officer has assaulted a disabled man while conducting a check on him and his vehicle. The driver didn’t even know he was dealing with the police, as he called for their help. The officer explained he suspected the man was reaching for a gun. The officer had records of disciplinary complaints dating back to 2016. He resigned after the incident before the police department terminated his contract.
