Arctic researchers are always faced with problems: either wildlife damage equipment or the weather is unbearable. So, Russian scientists are looking at ways to improve conditions for studying the Arctic. Increasingly, researchers are experiencing problems associated with the consequences of climate change. Atmospheric specialist Sergei Ovchinnikov says his team had to save valuable equipment with only seconds to spare when a crack formed under their tent on the ice.
