It’s time to bring some festive cheer to Hospice #3 with a visit from Father Frost and the Snow Maiden (he’s like the Russian version of Santa Clause but with a glamourous side-kick). Dr Zarakyan dresses up for the seasonal role to take small gifts to all the patients. Meanwhile, other members of staff put on a show for their colleagues and patients, complete with songs and readings. The hospice is a new experience for Tatyana Petrova. She seeks comfort in the small Orthodox chapel and prays that her cancer doesn’t progress too quickly.
