There’s a bittersweet end to the holiday season with the death of the well-loved, Evgeny Vasiliev. The thank-you card he added to the festive decorations serves as a poignant reminder. Meanwhile, Efrosinya Prohindeeva is looking forward to a visit from her daughters and grandson. She’s blind and her memory is failing, the doctors have only recently diagnosed stage-four cancer. However, her main concern is that she won’t live long enough to know that her one dream in life comes true, the restoration of her grandson, Semyon’s vision.
