Anastasia Lyabukhova’s only worry now is how well she did in the All-Russia Maths Competition. Despite taking the test while undergoing chemotherapy, she hopes to have won a prize. After three rounds of chemo, Anastasia may have lost her lustrous hair, but certainly not her spirit or determination to succeed and overcome her illness. Indira Kisieva has that same spirit as she battles bone cancer, so she can take care of her family and, most importantly, be a good grandmother. She’s a long way from home, but friends rally round to give her strength.
