Chernobyl documentaries that will shed light on the worst nuclear disaster of the 20th century
RTD’s Chernobyl documentaries take you to the abandoned town of Pripyat, where one of the world’s worst nuclear disasters occurred. Following mysterious clues, an RTD journalist explores the ghost town, where it seems time froze on the fateful day in 1986 when a reactor at the Chernobyl power plant went into meltdown. Inside ruined neglected buildings, children’s toys lay strewn on the floors of schools and household items sit on tables in flats – exactly where they were left more than a quarter of a century ago. RTD’s Chernobyl documentaries also give a blow-by-blow account of the events that led to the tragedy.
