Donbass Residents battle with PTSD

"We grow roses, we plant roses, we love beauty. Even though we're an industrial region, and there's a war raging," says Lyudmila Yaroshenko, Head of Municipal Landscaping in Donetsk. In the aftermath of the conflict, the people of Donbass are striving to rebuild their lives. Liberated cities, once scarred by warfare, are witnessing a slow but steady resurgence. However, the process of recovery extends beyond physical reconstruction. Many, having endured the traumas of shelling and loss of loved ones, are left grappling with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Psychologists from the People's Front arrived in Donbass to guide them through the process of confronting their pain.
