Kulunas: Inside the brutal world of youth gangs

Known as Kulunas, gangs of youths are fast spreading across the Democratic Republic of Congo. Teenagers from impoverished neighbourhoods work in groups to steal, rob, extort money and fight rival gangs under the noses of the police. 

Youth gangs called Kuluna have become an epidemic in DR Congo.

RTD goes to the port city of Matadi to tag along with one of the countless gangs plaguing the country for a candid view Kuluna life on the streets.
