Walking after War
Volunteers Raise Funds for Injured Donbass Veterans
When the Ukrainian army started to shell Donbass villages, Viktor Moskalyov was about 10 years old. Ever since, he wanted to join his father on the front lines and protect his home. On his 18th birthday, Viktor was already at the recruiting office signing a contract to join the army. A year later, he was wounded during a battle and lost his right arm and leg. The Russian Prosthetic Center in Kursk provided Viktor with modern prostheses and a chance to start a new life. To help injured fighters, this Center works for free and raises funds for expensive bionic prosthetics.
