In the Dark: James Brown explores life as a blind person by giving up his eyesight for two weeks

When it comes to understanding the challenges faced by those with visual impairments, many of us are in the dark. On agreeing to don a blindfold for two weeks, James Brown suddenly finds many daily tasks treacherous, and the outside world a hostile prospect. If you lost your vision overnight, how would you cook or shave? Or how would you cope if your guide dog went walkabout? Fortunately, an expert team is on hand to help him overcome the many hidden dangers his surroundings present, while small victories and the kindness of strangers give James the strength he needs on his journey towards independence.
