Soviet scientists and intelligence officers tell how they averted a nuclear war

This film may seem like a mystery novel. Soviet scientists and intelligence officers behind the first Soviet atom bomb, openly speak after years of living lives classified as top secret. Devastated in WWII, the Soviet Union could face another war, but this time a nuclear one. Intelligence reported on nuclear strike plans hatched by the US against Soviet cities.
Scientists from the USA, the UK, Germany, and Canada were working on creating an atomic bomb — with 12 Nobel Prize winners among them.
Lead Soviet physicists, mathematicians, and engineers were gathered to bring the country its first atom bomb, answering the looming danger and averting a global tragedy.
